I am presently using an AirPcap Nx to capture WLAN packets, and using Wireshark to analyze the captured packets. To what point in time does the Radiotap Header MAC timestamp correspond? For example, does the timestamp correspond to the moment that the complete packet has been received from the air interface, the moment that the packet preamble is detected, the moment that the packet is communicated to the MAC layer from the PHY, etc.? Thank you in advance for any clarity you can provide.
