The connection limits are for concurrent optimized connections only. For a Steelhead appliance that has a limit of 3300 concurrent connections, when connection #3301 is reached, that connection will be passed through unoptimized. There is no adverse effect other than new connections not getting optimized.

Hello All,
Wanted to get some idea on the connection limits on riverbed devices for optimisation. eg, if one of their models has limit of 3300 connections, does it mean this is the max limit on conn that can be optimised?
If so, assume that the conn count increases beyond to 5000. Will this cause any kind of slowness in the network traffic because of device limitations.
Thanks in Advance!
