The SSL license is free, you can get them from the Riverbed Support website.

The price you pay is more cycles, but the overhead should be minimal.

Hi,

To be able to encrypt the traffic between 2 Steelhead appliances, do I have to buy a licence? 

Is there a loss of performance? By how much?
