Hello,

Do you have any feedback on this?   We have ECC 5.0 / BI 7.0 and sapgui 7.10 (moving to sapgui 7.20) and will also test turning off SAP compression and activating Riverbed.       How percentaje is expected to improve by this change?  (As SAP seems to be network 'friendly' and it may not have much space to improve)

I tried the settings below but the customer said users were not impressed with the result. Is there anything else you can suggest? Customer is using SAP R3 Enterprise v4.7.

Riverbed customers can achieve good data reduction on SAP R/3 traffic.  The following two configuration items are needed:

1.  Disable compression in SAP R/3 by setting the following environment variable

TDW_NOCOMPRESS=1

2. Disable the nagging pop-up window that notifies compresison has been disabled

On the SAP R/3 menu, go to the SAP Front End -> SAP GUI Configuration. Then select Notification, and click off the message tab items.  Attached is a screenshot
