Results from a Riverbed partner:

This is what we get in a customer lab simulating a connection to India...

I did some tests today with ran, simulating the work with and without the accelerator from India using perforce.

here are the results i got:

Data size that was transferred - 180MB

Number of files - 5015

checkout without the accelerator: 15 minutes

first checkout with the accelerator: 8-9 minutes

second checkout with the accelerator: 3-2 minutes

third checkout with the accelerator: 3-2 minutes

the results are very good, it seems that the accelerator significantly improve the network performance

Line bandwidth : 2M

Roundtrip : 200 ms

Does anyone have experience using Steelheads with an application called Perforce by Perforce Software? I have a potential client that would like to accelerate this application and the syncing of the distributed servers. Any input is appreciated.
