Kiwillia,

Data reduction looks great. How are you using NFS? Is there a specific app(s)? Do you have any results to share regarding speedup of your NFS traffic?

Hi,

Attached is a traffic summary screenshot from a newly deployed Steelhead. The only traffic its seen so far is NFS. Even with all "cold" data, we still achieved nearly 62% data reduction on the NFS WAN traffic. Not bad at all.

Attached is Riverbed's performance brief covering NFS. The test summary is:

- More than 53 times faster NFS v3 file operations
- More than 224 times faster NFS v3 directory operations
- Up to 99% reduction in bandwidth utilization

Does anyone have any NFS performance results or any feedback to share?
