Re: IBM Rational Clearcase

Hi

does anybodty have updated information about how the Steelhead handle the ClearCase traffic, and especially the CCRC (ClearCaseRemoteClient) traffic??

And a question to mhorn: what type of problems did you run into with your Multisite traffic? did you also experience problems with CCRC (if you use it..)?

Re: IBM Rational Clearcase

Since we have deployed the Riverbed accelerators in our WAN we are having sporadic ClearCase MultiSite failures – if I had the authority we’d remove these devices and use an IBM Approved product like Certeon's aCelera Virtual Appliance software.

IBM Rational Clearcase

One Riverbed customer gave their permission to share their Clearcase results and the results were fantastic. Attached are performance results via a PDF and stats screenshots for ClearCase running on a T1 link from Masachusetts to India. The net results are a 3X to 21X speedup depending on the app/file type running through clearcase and up to a 97% data reduction.

We are using the ClearCase multi-site architecture across several WAN links with high latency. I'm interested to know if anyone is using the Steelhead to optimize ClearCase traffic. If s
