Hi
in the end it's all about understanding how the RiOS is optimizing http (i.e. URL Learning, parse & prefetch, etc) and comparing that with the way your web servers deliver content.
I haven't seen best practices here, to me it all about the specific environment.
Sorry for that ;-)

Has anyone seen any good documentation on the http optimizations available in 6.x, best practices, or tips for tweaking performance? I haven't seen anything beyond some detailed powerpoints done for 5.5.
We have been monitoring are HTTP optimization performance, particularly our hit rate on the OPT. We are seeing at a max range of 15-20%. We are trying to access whether this is good or bad. With bluecoat web caches we were seeing HTTP cache hits in the neighborhood of 50% in the same location. We had hoped that the cache hit would be closer to the 50%, but understand there are limitations (not totally clear on what they are) that might prevent that. We are getting next to nothing with URL/PP..
We believe, since most of our application traffic is HTTP based, and increase to this percentage will deliver much better performance for our users. However, it is difficult to measure or tweak - especially with no updated documentation
