I have a customer that is using Adobe FrameMaker 7.2 on the client and accessing his files using CIFS on a NetApp filer. Even small files take exceedingly long to access and while the connections are showing as optimized in Current Connections he is seeing no improvement in access times. I suspect that while the amount of data going over the WAN is reduced, the number of RTs are still limiting his performance. Has anyone experience with FrameMaker? Are there any changes to the client which may be useful?
thx in advance,
William
