We have a customer that didn't want to spend the money on bandwidth / services for thier remote sites - "we don't know how long they will be open" was the reason...... Sure we can sort something out...
We put a Steelhead and a Mobile Controller at the head office and setup the policies for them and then took through a test....most of the information dealt with is large documents with lots of embeded spreadsheets and pictures - we had a laptop with Windows 7 - showed them how the client loads - what it looks like and then ramped it up to take it through its paces...with the following results there was no arguments about the justification...
They were very happy to go ahead and even happier when told a RSP could be used to host the data for the remote users thus segmenting them from the main server....
