Actually speaking SH is really saving our money by making us to use less Band Width in WAN traffic. Really  the Riverbed come with the very good device for the optimization but sad part is I hope it wont optimize the UDP traffic. It supports for the CIFS,NFS,MAPI,Lotus,HTTP,HTTPS  Etc..... The grate thing is support and knowledge base is too good.

The Riverbed equipment helped to the bank of Tierra del Fuego (Ushuaia - Argentina)  to reduce the bandwidth and thus better services their customers! Thanks Riverbed!!!

Introducing the Riverbed Storytellers Contest

Another chance for glory – and a really cool prize: an iPod Nano Wrist Watch!

We’re introducing a new contest, the Riverbed Storytellers Contest.  This is your chance to share with the Riverbed Community how adding Riverbed products to your IT infrastructure has made life better.  Have they made your users happier?  Have they saved you a ton of money?  Have you been able to meet your DR windows?  We’ll pick a theme that will last for a few months, and look for entries that fit that theme. 

How to enter the Riverbed Storytellers Contest

1. Periodically, we’ll select a topic or theme for entries.  Write a short story (100-200 words) related to the theme that describes how Riverbed products (Steelhead appliances, Cascade appliances, Mobile Steelhead, Virtual Steelhead, Whitewater, Cloud Steelhead, etc.) have made network access better, applications faster, helped the organization meet other IT goals, or enabled network function that wasn’t previously available.  Giving your screenshot a catchy title such as “Awesome!  CIFS is now 100x faster!” will help your chances to win.  Feel free to include a screenshot or other graphic image supporting your story. 
   
   
2. Submit your entry by clicking on "New Message" in the Riverbed Storytellers Contest area. Type in your title and enter your story along with any supporting documentation, and any other interesting info you would like to add. To add a graphic, click on "Add Attachments" and select the image you have captured.

That’s it. Users of the Riverbed Community Forum will give “kudos” to the submissions they like each month. If your submission receives the most kudos, you will win one of the amazingly cool iPod Nano Wrist Watches that we’ll award each month! Even if you don’t win, you’ll find the Riverbed Storytellers Contest great for seeing how others around the world get benefit from their Riverbed equipment. And here’s a little more incentive to participate: you’ll receive a free Riverbed multi-tool just for entering (while supplies last). Our supply of multi-tools is limited, so get your entry in early.
