Riverbed Steelhead Healthcheck Raffle:

As an added incentive for participants in our Fall 2011 Customer Satisfaction Survey, Riverbed is raffling off a Riverbed Steelhead Healthcheck.

The Riverbed Steelhead Healthcheck Service helps you get the most from your Steelhead Deployment by providing a proactive review of the performance of your Riverbed Steelhead infrastructure. The approximate value is $9,000 - $12,000 depending on the size of the Steelhead deployment.

How to enter: Complete the Fall 2011 Customer Satisfaction Survey and opt-in to the raffle on the final question of the survey.

Winner selection criteria: The winner (one only) will be selected at random from all survey participants who complete the survey (answer all mandatory questions) and opt-in to the raffle by indicating their interest on the final question of the survey. To be eligible, the entrant must have at least two and not more than 100 Steelhead Appliances and the company must reside in the United States.

Start date and time and end date and time (including time zone) (“Contest Period”): Starts Thursday November 17, 2011 at 6:00AM PT and ends Monday December 19, 2011 at 6:00PM PT

Winner selection date and time (“Selection Day”): Friday January 20, 2012 at 2PM PT

Additional terms regarding how to enter: You may also enter by sending an email with the Contest entry criteria in the body and “Enter Me in the Contest” in the subject line to Company at healthcheck.raffle@riverbed.com before the end of the Contest Period. Any lost, misdirected, incorrect or incomplete entries will be disqualified and Riverbed Technology, Inc. (“Company”) and its affiliates and agents will not be responsible for such entries.

Eligibility: This Contest is open only to legal residents of the United States age 18 or over. Employees of Company and its affiliates and members of their immediate families are ineligible to participate. To be eligible, you must agree to abide by these rules and be bound by all Company decisions relating to this Contest, which are final and binding in all respects, including but not limited to Company’s determination of the winners. There is a limit of one eligible entry per person. It is your sole responsibility to review and understand your employer’s policies regarding your eligibility to participate in trade promotions. If you are participating in violation of your employer’s policies, you may be disqualified from entering or receiving prizes. Company disclaims any and all liability or responsibility for disputes arising between an employee and their employer related to this matter, and prizes will only be awarded in compliance with the employer’s policies. Government employees are not eligible.

Additional terms regarding prizes: Each winner is responsible for the payment of all taxes associated with the receipt of any prize. No substitution or transfer of prizes permitted, except that if any prize is unavailable, Company has the right to substitute a prize of substantially equal value. Prizes may not be redeemed for cash.

Winner Selection: Your odds of winning this Contest depend on the number of eligible entries we receive. Company will notify the winner by sending a message to the e-mail or shipping address provided at time of entry within seven (7) days following the Selection Day. If the notification Company sends to the winner is returned as undeliverable, the winner is unreachable for any reason, or the winner is otherwise unable to accept the prize, Company will automatically disqualify the winner and select an alternate winner. Winners agree to release Company from any and all liability associated with this Contest. Winners may be required to sign an Affidavit of Eligibility, Liability/Publicity Release, and any other documents required by Company or tax authorities within seven (7) calendar days of notification of selection. If a winner does not complete the required forms within the seven (7) calendar day period, Company will disqualify the winner and select an alternate winner. In the event of a dispute regarding who submitted an online entry, the entry will be deemed submitted by the authorized account holder of the email or other applicable online account submitted. Prizes will only be awarded to a winner if he/she complies with these rules. The decision of the Company is final.

Grant of Rights: By participating in the Contest, each entrant grants and agrees to grant to Company and its affiliates the right to use the entry in their sole discretion, without further compensation or consent.

Privacy and Use of Information: Company collects personal information from you when you enter the Contest. Please review Company’s privacy policy at http://www.riverbed.com/us/privacy_policy.php before you enter the Contest. By participating in the Contest, you agree for Company to collect and use your personal information solely in connection with the Contest.

Limitations of Liability: Company is not responsible for technical, hardware or software failures of any kind, lost or unavailable network connections, or failed, incomplete, garbled or delayed computer transmissions, whether caused by Company, or you or by any of the equipment or programming associated with or utilized in association with this Contest or by any technical or human error which may occur in the processing of submissions that may limit an entrant’s ability to participate in this Contest. BY ACCEPTING DELIVERY OF THE PRIZE, WINNERS AGREE THAT THE PRIZE IS AWARDED ON THE CONDITION THAT COMPANY AND ITS AFFILIATES, SUBSIDIARIES, OFFICERS, DIRECTORS, AGENTS, REPRESENTATIVES AND EMPLOYEES WILL HAVE NO LIABILITY WHATSOEVER FOR ANY INJURIES, LOSSES, OR DAMAGES OF ANY KIND RESULTING FROM ACCEPTANCE, POSSESSION OR USE OF THE PRIZE. Winners further acknowledge that the foregoing parties have neither made nor are in any manner responsible or liable for any warranty, representation or guarantee (express or implied, in fact or in law) in connection with the prize or the use or enjoyment of the prize. General Conditions: If any provision of this Official Contest Rules is held to be illegal or unenforceable, that provision shall be limited or eliminated to the minimum extent necessary so that these rules shall otherwise remain in full force and effect and enforceable to the fullest extent permitted by applicable law. Company reserves the right, at its sole discretion, to disqualify any individual it finds to be tampering with the entry process or the operation of the Contest or to be acting in violation of these rules. If Company determines, in its sole discretion, that the Contest is compromised by virus, bug, robot entries, or other corruption of the administration, security or proper play of the Contest, then, at its sole discretion, Company can cancel this Contest. In the event of any non-compliance with any requirement stated herein, a winner’s prize may be forfeited and awarded to an alternate winner. This Contest is governed by and shall be construed under the laws of the State of California, U.S.A., without regard to the conflicts of law provisions therein. Each party agrees to personal jurisdiction and venue in the federal and state courts for San Francisco County, California. The prize will only be sent to a U.S. address, and will be subject to all applicable U.S. taxes and withholding. This Contest is void where prohibited or restricted by any relevant federal, state or local law, including but not limited to jurisdictions with laws that would require registration, disclosure, filing, trust account, or posting of a bond, or any other requirements that are not satisfied.
