Since the 1050-U comes with RSP by default, you will end up with the 2 Gb of RSP memory.
To go from 2 Gb of RSP memory to 4 Gb of RSP memory, you will need to order part MEM-003, which is a memory stick of 2 Gb.

yes, another little bird told me that we would need to order the 1050U with the RSP upgrade kit to get the 4GB. Is that the case?

The KB article at https://support.riverbed.com/kb/solution.htm?Id=50170000000A7Ep disagrees with me:
"* The 1050 appliances can also accept 4 GB of RSP memory."
I will ask the author of the KB article if he can amend it with the new 1050U model.

Hello William,
If memory serves me well, the amount of memory allocated for RSP is 2Gb no matter how much you put in it.

Hi!
let's say a fella has a 1050U - which ships with a 2GB memory module pre-installed for RSP. Now he would like more RSP memory. If he adds another 2GB stick will this be available to the RSP?
