Re: Trend Micro IWSVA 5 on RSP

I just tried this; VMware Workstation on Win7 Ultimate -> Red Hat 64 image for IWSVA -> rsp package. Memory requirements of 2048 as a minimum are quite steep for Riverbed usage.

Anyway, I managed to get the package uploaded and stood up, can talk to the web interface, setting it up as "Forward Proxy Mode".

However, I cannot get it to talk to the internet as it will not update it's definitions or function as a proxy.

I can point the updates to another internal proxy of IWSVA (running on ESX in another country) and it will work through that, but that's not the point really, is it.

Having had another set of eyes log into the back end and check the linux side of things, it can see everything; internal hosts, gateway and internet, so it's looking like something specific to the software not working, unless IWSVA is not intended to work this way.

I should add, i'm no expert, so bow to any advice or more experienced people who might know more on the subject.

Cheers,

D.
