Hi subija,

have you changed some settings in the *.vmdk file with notepad or so?

I had the same error after edit a .vmdk file with notepad.

After I used another editor (notepad++) everything works fine.

Hi trevorwai,

Were you ablee to resolve this? Is the error message you receive exactly the same as the one below?  Couple things to check for:

- When creating your virtual machine, did you make sure to specify "Allocate all disk space now"?

- Is the .vmdk file in the same directory as the rest of the vm?

Error while using Generator with Windows 2008 R2 x64. Please find the error below.

Unable to eopn VMware Virtual Machine.

Unable to open virtual disk Windows Server 2008R2 x64.vmdk

The virtual disk is connected to scsi0:0
