This paper explains how to configure the Adobe Flash Media Server with the Riverbed Services Platform (RSP) to provide video acceleration and to reduce WAN video traffic for the enterprise. Users can experience reductions of video traffic over the WAN by as much as 98%, for both live and on-demand flash video content. For example, a live webcast that otherwise would take multiple Flash video streams and consume a great deal of bandwidth is reduced to a single stream per branch that can be split locally to many viewers.
