We have a business objective of placing high-end terminal workstations at our HQ, centralizing all data and then having our branch offices connect to those workstations as a private cloud solution. The primary obstacle was the lag of Revit and MicroStation in RDP over the WAN ... after a few tests, we have shown that there is little noticable difference between working on their local station with local server files and working in an RDP session over the WAN.
