At this time UDP optimization is not natively supported by the Steelhead. As per Bob's post please do indicate in the Feature Requests forum if this feature interests you.
I do note from a quick google, though, that PCoIP has been criticised for sending bitmap/raster data instead of the graphics primitives used by Citrix and RDP. This appears to result in a much higher bandwidth utilization due to the nature of the protocol.
If your terminal servers and clients are able to support Citrix or RDP you may be able to save some bandwidth by the technology switch before even considering optimization.

This is a good time to remind customers that are interested in particular features and capabilities currently not supported by Riverbed to post a feature request in the feature request forum. In addition, I would be happy to share our product roadmap with you via a webex session (upon verification of signed NDA). Please feel free to ping me: bob@riverbed.com
Cheers,
Bob Gilbert

Hi - new user here. We are looking to deliver VDI to desktops using a VM 4.5 environment. The WAN archtecture includes Riverbed models of various scales (all using RIOS) at every site for traffic optimization. We would like to configure the VDI to utilize PCoIP instead of RDP, but have found that PCoIP is not optimized by RIOS at this time.
Is anyone aware of an effort underway to support PCoIP as an optimized protocol?
