Re: WCCP HA design - WCCP redirect ACL

sorry ... newbie here ...

once the SHs take over ...all traffic across the cloud will have in-path IPs and port 7800 ... and this  traffic will hit redirect access list 61 inbound on the wccp router ... and it will not be redirected to the out-of-path SH ... at the server site.

just trying to understand CA with WCCP in a mixed environment ... in-path at branch and wccp at DC.

thank you for your input.

WCCP HA design - WCCP redirect ACL

With correct addressing the inner channel is unicast between the in-path interface IP addresses. Therefore it doesn't need to be in the ACL, except maybe as a "deny" entry.

WCCP HA design - WCCP redirect ACL

Hi,

I was going through the example from the Deployment guide for WCCP HA setup.

Looking to the redirect ACL to be used on the cisco router ... it looks to me like it's missing the 7800/7801 ports ...

Let's assume site A has an in-path setup and site B has a WCCP setup ... Correct addressing used everywhere ... wccp redirect ACL shoud have the magic ports used by SH with CA ... without those entries ... traffic will not be redirected to the out-of path SH ...

Am I missing something here?

Thank you for your input,

Mihai
