Re: Issue with Steelhead Mobile client on the VPN.

Wireless drops is an interesting side effect and not one I've seen before. I would recommend opening a support case so our TAC team can analyse this.

Re: Issue with Steelhead Mobile client on the VPN.

I understand our DNS/WINS issues may be something else.

Wireless drops cease with client disabled.

Only get reports about Outlook hanging as that is what they launch first.   We've trained them to close the client at that point so cannot answer as to connection failures elsewhere.  Will try to test that.

Re: Issue with Steelhead Mobile client on the VPN.

Problems with DNS resolution is interesting. As you probably know, that would usually be done over UDP which Steelhead Mobile will not touch.

Do the wireless drops cease with the client disabled?

With it enabled, is it just Outlook affected or do you also have connection failures to a remote CIFS share?

Issue with Steelhead Mobile client on the VPN.

We are experiencing several issues of late.  Some of which go away when we disable and/or close the Steelhead Mobile client when we are on our VPN.    Checking to see if anyone else has seen this behavior.  Here is the list:

Outlook 2003 (Exchange 2010) in cached mode won't open with the client running.  We have MAPI optimization disabled.  Client version 2.0.0.89

Noticing some DNS/WINS resolution issues recently.  Resolved with client closed.

Frequent dropped wireless connections.

Thanks,

Janet
