it depends ...
it really depends on the used switch. The problem is, that it might work fine, but it'll kill the ports on the stealhead when in bypass mode.
compatible switches are:
Cisco 3550 PoE Switch | WS-C3550-24-PWR | IOS 12.2(25)SEE4 |
Cisco 3560 GigE Switch | WS-C3560G-24PS, | 12.2(35)SE5 |
Cisco 3750 PoE Switch | WS-C3750-48PS | IOS 12.2(37) |
Cisco 4548 Line Card | WS-X4548-GB-RJ45V | IOS 12.2(37)SG1 |
TRENDnet Gigabit PoE Switch | TPE-80WS |
for everything else you need the filter adapter. You can get one when opening a ticket and supplying the Switch Part Number. The Partnumber of the Adapter is: ADP-001
My suggestion: ALWAYs use the adapter, you'll not remeber that danger when you might need to replace the switch.

Hello,
if i have an PoE-Switch and I connect the Riverbed without the Adapter of the 250-Model, will my appliance be damaged? Or do i loose only the PoE-functionality on the forwarded Port?
Than you.
Paul
