Re: Reduced Functionality CLI

I have the same issue. I'm unable to go to the privilege mode and am unable to logon to the URL of the device with the same credentials.

It also looks like the rvierbed device is no longer compressing data between our sites. Was there a resolution for this issue?

Re: Reduced Functionality CLI

Case 106966 and 83027 are the most specific.

Re: Reduced Functionality CLI

Hi,

You clearly have a few separate issues here. I believe I've previously seen your support case for the CMC managed appliance count, are there support cases for the CMC dropping into the reduced functionality CLI?

Your point about being unable to diagnose issues in the reduced functionality CLI is well founded and I'll tag that onto the support case.

Thanks,
Stuart

Reduced Functionality CLI

The CMC especially sometimes gets into a state where a reduced functionality CLI is the only means of connecting to the box and sometimes this is only available via the console (% Management back end unavailable. Continuing with reduced functionality). The problem I have with this is how limited it is. It allows me to ping, traceroute, and establish connections from the appliance, but it does not allow me to get ANY sort of information about what is going on on the system. The show command only allows you to view the version and the CLI and terminal settings. I could care less about the CLI and terminal settings. The version is a little useful, but what I really need is some information about the system (CPU utilization, alarms, disk utilization - support show disk, etc.). I am asking for the reduced functionality CLI to have the show stats and support show disk commands added at a minimum. Also having the option of doing a write mem would be nice as well. I have had a CMC stuck this way for over nine hours and had to eventually reset the power and loose two days worth of work that the NOC had not saved (a different issue concerning the CMC not being able to handle even half of licensed 500 appliances).
