on the topic of IDS. I have a customer who is interested in deploying an IDS solution on the RSP (Checkpoint R70 perhaps) but is concerned about throughput. Are there any reference cases or guidelines regarding IDS Solutions on the RSP?
I would love to see a IDS option or partnership (sourcefire?) with Riverbed. Some companies have the needs for IDS on internal WAN connections and not just external connections. With riverbed appliances already inline and seeing all the traffic hitting the WAN it would be a perfect duel role option.....
