- The ability to schedule a full synchronization from the management GUI. Currently a full sync occurs the first time prepop runs on a share, and a partial sync is done for every subsequent run based on the interval defined when the share is added. The partial run only copies new or changed data so eventually data from infrequently used files will be lost as the datastore wraps. When defining a prepop share we would like to be able to define two sync intervals, one for partial syncs (for example every night), and one for a full sync (for example once a month). We have been manually defining jobs to do this but it is cumbersome and error prone.
- The results of prepop runs should be presented in a better manner. Currently we have to go to each Steelhead individually, select the prepop share and then select "Last Sync" under the view logs section. We then see the prepop log entries starting with the oldest first. We have to scroll to the end and select "Next", scroll to end and select "Next" to see the most current entries. I would like to see the results displayed in a summary tabular manner for each share. The most recent results should be first.
- We would like the ability to generate an alarm/email if a prepop sync fails.
- We would like the CMC to show prepop results for all Steelheads in a summary tabular format. This allows you to check the prepop results in a quick glance rather than logging into 60 Steelheads to check the results.
