I have a customer that chose Riverbed due to a decentralized Projectwise environment and have great success. They are all physically inpath but logically inpath should work as well. Generally routing, redirection on the interfaces, and ACL's for redirection are often the issue. Double check to make sure those are right, if you start to see optimization but things hang that's an indication of one-way optimization most often.
