Re: CMC SSH Problems

A couple of suggestions:

- Check to see if you enabled Trusted Key Verification on the CMC, but then forgot to authorize the SH keys.

- If that doesn't solve the problem, then I suggest giving Riverbed Support a call; they will help you solve it.

Hope this is helpful...

CMC SSH Problems

Hi,

I'm having problems getting SSH to work from the CMC to some Steelhead appliances.

When I attempt SSH from the CMC it throws the following error:

Riverbed-CMD # slogin user@X.X.X.X
@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@
@    WARNING: REMOTE HOST IDENTIFICATION HAS CHANGED!     @
@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@
IT IS POSSIBLE THAT SOMEONE IS DOING SOMETHING NASTY!
Someone could be eavesdropping on you right now (man-in-the-middle attack)!
It is also possible that the RSA host key has just been changed.
The fingerprint for the RSA key sent by the remote host is
96:5e:5b:59:d1:97:64:9e:60:a7:d4:16:b9:8b:20:fe.
Please contact your system administrator.
Add correct host key in /var/home/root/.ssh/known_hosts to get rid of this message.
Offending key in /var/home/root/.ssh/known_hosts:16
RSA host key for X.X.X.X has changed and you have requested strict checking.
Host key verification failed.

I know that the devices were connected at one stage however they were disconnected due to a change and now need to reconnected to the CMC.

How can I clear our the known_hosts on the CMC for these old entries to fix this?

The CMC won't move the Steelheads to being "Connected" in the webgui either.

Thanks
