I know there is a Flash memory problem with some version of RiOS that exhibits itself by affecting access to the appliance. You could try power cycling one of the Steelheads to see if that resets the Flash memory. You may also need to contact support to identify the issue. The Flash memory issue is something they have been addressing in some of the more recent versions of a few of the release streams.
This is related to CMC showing "Needs Attention" status due to "CMC Appliance Configuration Backup" --- Daily backup completed with status fail for following appliances :(Steelheads) J46GG0007EAF8, J46UG0008387C.
CMC Appliance Configuration Backup Indicates when the daily backup failed. We are able to ping these two particular sites but are unable to get access via CLI or GUI. Can ping both the sites from respective routers but are not accessible.
Could you please assist in the understanding of this fault and the resolution which will restore the CMC back to Healthy status.
