Re: Cascade Pilot - requirements

taking the price difference (and all the runnin promos), I'd step away from the personal edition as I'm not sure how this will work with the "mini-Shark" which is supposed to come with RiOS 7 (hope it's ok to mention this, RiOS 7 is around the corner and it has been mentioned in various places)

Hi ,

This works very well alone and you dont need to buy a shark.

If you dont have a Shark then you can purchase the Cascade Pilot personal edition.

These can report on various capture points around your network or TCPdumps gathered from your Steelhead and mobile client interfaces.

A Shark is required for multi TB historical analysis. it allows you to set triggers and easily look back at a event rather then try to replicate it.

Thanks

Cascade Pilot - requirements

Hi All

I was reading about cascade pilot software, and had a basic question.. Can this work standalone, without needing to buy a cascade shark hardware ? We have riverbed appliances on remote offices, and want to use pilot software for network analysis..
