Hi I have wanted the same feature of up down status of my network devices but have been told that Cascade is not an snmp tool. Try telling your manager your expensive gear can give you al this analytic information but can't tell you when a router is down. So Cascade really doesn't always tell you root cause, you need other toools.
Not strictly what is was designed for I appreciate, but is it possible to have the Cascade Express simply monitor the ICMP up / down state of any given IP address?
