Re: Syslog File Naming per Virtual Server

Hi Matthew,

Welcome to the Riverbed Community Forum.

The Stingray Traffic Manager logging will send all messages using the same facility and level, so it's hard to split these out into different files using the traditional methods.

However, recent syslog daemons can split these out based on arbitrary values in the message, so you could pick out the virtual server name for example, you would need to include that info in the log macros.

Thanks,

Syslog File Naming per Virtual Server

Hi All,

Can StingRay output to request logs to a single syslog server into different files based upon the Virtual Server?

If so, how is this possible?

The only way to do this that I can see is to have the virtual servers output  to the same syslog server running on different ports.

Thanks.
