Our recommendation in this case would be to upgrade to the latest version of the software in the usual manner at the customer portal. This will enable you to modify the OS and VMware-Tools.

How to update VMWare-Tools in Zeus Virtual Appliance ?

We´re running Zeus Loadbalancer in an Virtual Appliance in VMWare.

How can I update the VMWare-Tools in this Appliance because they´re out-of-date?

In the appliance there´re no gcc or kernel header files in which are necessary to install/build the new VMWareTools.
